Girl Gone Wild: Amanda Chinchelli Greer of Seea

I remember the day I met Amanda Chinchelli Geer because I was terrified. I've never been pro at interviewing people, and I was intimidated: Italian/Brazilian designer, amazing surfer, and a natural beauty? That all changed once she greeted me with a huge smile and warm, honest answers (which can be hard to get from people who probably spent the afternoon deciding what they really wanted me to know for my articles).

That's why I'm extra glad she's seen major success with her surf and swimwear line Seea. Get to know this beautiful (inside and out) lady:

My name is Amanda Chinchelli and I live in San Clemente, California. I'm originally from Italy but I was born and raised in Brazil until I was 10, when I moved to Florence. I grew up learning to swim fast underwater, sew, crochet and ride scooters in traffic.

I'm the founder and designer of Seea, which is a swimwear brand created to help others enjoy the surf without worrying about sunburn and wardrobe malfunctions while looking stylish and feminine.

I admire women who raise children, work, take care of their husbands and still smile a lot.

When I have a weekend off from working, I usually spend it all day at the beach surfing with my husband.

My favorite place to spend time outdoors is at the beach because I'm addicted to sun and surf.

Surfing has taught me to be patient, brave and enjoy the present.

One luxury item I always have with me is my Macbook Pro. I don't go anywhere without it. It's my best friend and worst enemy. I'm not sure if it counts as a luxury item, but that's because I don't own any! The most expensive things I own are my surfboards.

The fall I'll be working as a maniac on production for spring 2013, but I'm also planning on taking a girls' surf trip to "test" some new designs.

One thing I'd love to learn to do is speak French because its the only European language my husband and I are missing!

My favorite piece of advice for living a healthy lifestyle is to wake up smiling no matter what, drink a huge glass of water and then spend some time playing outside.
